LED Lamp Kit (1pcs) - MH001
10x5x2 mm (20PCS) - CB002

Description

Here I present to you my version of a Halloween lantern. I was inspired by old antique hexagon shaped lanterns. It was designed to be a table top lamp. You have the option to use Bambu’s LED Lamp Kit 001, or a tea light with a diameter of 36.2. I am not sure if Bambu's will work. I used tea lights I already had available.

I have printed the lantern body out of black PLA and PETG from Overture, Both filament types work well. The light panel were also printed in both filaments, with the addition of yellow Polymaker.

If you want to make your own panel the measurement are, 119.214 mm L

x 57.158 mm W x 1mm T.

Assembly is pretty simple. Just press the pins into their designated holes, (shown below). Then the rest of the model just slips together. I tried to make the model as modular as possible.

If this model does well I could make light panels for other holidays.

Assembly:

1. Press the pins on the top into the crown of the lantern.

2. Press the pins on the panel frame top into the holes on the panel frame.

For assembly reference look at the last image above.

Layer Height: 0.2mm Stock settings for the lantern frame

.16mm stock settings for the light panels

Infill: 15% infill for the lantern frame

100% infill for light panels

Material: I Used Overture black red, orange, and glow in the dark PLA, Polymaker yellow PLA

Supports: stock setting on plate #4 of the lantern body

I am not a pro at modeling, but it takes time. So, be kind and drop me a boost if you like my models.

Update 10/12

I have Added magnets to the lantern body. You can use up to 24 magnets. The lantern in the images is only using 16 magnets.

Magnets used are 10mm x 5mm x 2mm
