Description

This fidget octopus uses a unique click hinge for the tentacles. These hinges have detents to help hold the position. The print profile includes both 90 degree and straight hinge pieces on separate plates. I'd recommend using all 90 degree pieces by default, but a mix of both or even just straight pieces can also produce fun variations. Please leave the configured manual supports on. If you have problems with adhesion, you may optionally enable brims on the hinge pieces. Brims should not be needed on the head or central spinner.

A couple notes on assembly. The bearings for spinning have a sprue between the balls, please cut it off with a flush cutter as shown.

To attach the joints together, align them as shown. There is a slight groove that makes it easier to assemble them straight, rather than at an angle.
