Hello!

 

This is a project I have been working on for a couple weeks now and I am really happy with how it turned out!

It's an awesome candy bowl for handing out sweets for trick or treaters.

If you just want the cauldron candy bowl, print only that from the provided project files or from the STL.

 

This whole project is printable on the A1 mini!

 

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

Notes for printing:

While printing the iris body part it is OKAY if there are strings, this is normal due to the overhang that is present there. I printed it like that and it turned out great in the end. Just remove the plastic strings that stick out!

 

I decided to print the cauldron sitting downwards to minimize support filament being used.

I had some troubles removing the supports on the bottom, it takes time to remove them, I would recommend using a support PLA or PETG for the supports on the bottom part. I removed my supports with thin pliers, a scalper and a bit of patience :)

 

The iris mechanism needs to be super glued onto the cauldron itself. Apply superglue all around the top of the cauldron and just press the iris body on top, make sure you align it to the cauldron!!!!! Hold it for a minute or 2 untill the glue dries down and voila!

 

I really hope you like this project :)

 

I am also planing on creating a mini IRIS fidget which can be used as a test example for the bigger system, so please let me know if you would be interested in something like that.
