Modular Lantern - Lithophane Edition

The core concept for the Modular Lantern is it's ability to change throughout the year, it's easy to replace panels, change the light source and comes with optional tops and bottoms.

The Modular Lantern Mk3 has now been released and is compatible with lithophanes. It's based off this version with many other improvements. If you have already printed this then do not fret it is compatible with the tops and bottoms included in Mk3 and I suggest you visit that page for detailed instructions on how to put the lantern together. If you have not printed this I advise you to use the Mk3 core instead for further compatibility with future addons.

With the release of Bambu's ‘Make My Lithophane’ I thought I should release a version that accepts the thicker inserts it creates as they do not fit into the original lantern.

There are several options for a light source, the LED001 kit works well and fits the included base but here are a couple of alternatives well suited to lithophanes which work with the Mk2/3 version only, these are:

The lantern accepts panels of 100x150mm and 100x100mm up to 3.2mm thick.

The 5 Halloween lithophanes included are Powered by MakerWorld-Make My Lithophane (https://makerworld.com/makerlab/makeMyLithophane) 

You can use it to easily create your own.

1.) Select either of the two options below:

2.) Important - resize your image to 960x1460 (Or exact multiple of this) or square

3.) Upload it.

4.) Go to the attribute tab and set the margin to 2mm

5.) Now back to the Size tab and make sure the Free ratio is picked.

6.) Set the width and height to 96x146.

7.) Check the overview image dimensions are 100x150 (and max 3.2mm thick).

8.) Download, print and share (Don't forget to link the lantern :-))

Currently you can not use the Ratio feature set to 2:3 because after setting the image to the correct ratio it adds the margin which breaks the ratio. I've fed this back to support in the hopes of a way to avoid having to scale the images manually.
