Description

This is a 6 button macro pad that can either be used on a PC as a basic macro pad, or as an IoT switchboard to run home automations or send notifications. This macro pad is based off of an ESP32-S2 Mini and x6 standard mechanical keyboard switches. The possibilities are really only limited by your comfort level in micropython/C+. I included a basic example python code to run 6 IFTTT events, just edit the file with your info.

Hardware needed

  • x2 4mm M2 to secure microcontroller
  • x4 12-14mm M2 screws to secure bottom plate
  • x6 mechanical switches of your choice
  • scrap wire
  • solder iron
  • ESP32-S2 Mini
  • a computer with your programming suite of choice and plenty of patience
