Description
Design Overview:
One of the Rapid Print series, this pen holder leverages the bendable properties of low-layer PLA. The design prioritizes minimizing production time while maintaining structural integrity. It mimics a vending machine aesthetic, employing biomimetic design for enhanced visual appeal.
Print Time:
The print time for a single pen holder is approximately one hour (P1P, 0.2mm layer height, using basic PLA, other parameters default). The A1 mini version will take slightly longer.
Printing Precautions:
Due to the relatively large print size, using glue or adhesive spray on the build plate is strongly recommended to prevent adhesion failures!
Versions (Selectable in Print Settings):
Versions include a standard version and a version without the top (the blue and white model in the image is the top-removed version with a 2-layer base, while the gold and white is the standard version).
The standard version offers greater strength, while the top-removed version prints faster, uses less material, and still provides adequate strength for everyday use. Choose according to your preference.
Dimensions:
The finished product measures approximately 100mm*60mm*60mm, suitable for various stationery items.
Materials and Cost:
Standard PLA can be used (matte/colored/metallic PLA or multi-color printing may enhance aesthetics). If an AMS is unavailable, color changes can be paused during the low layers, requiring only one color change.
The version with the top consumes 42.0g, while the top-removed version consumes 29.7g. Based on a cost of 70 yuan per kilogram of filament, the cost is approximately 2-3 yuan.
Strength Considerations:
The pen holder edges are reinforced; the strength should be sufficient for normal use, and the tear resistance of the low-layer PLA at the edge junctions also meets daily needs.
Additional clasps on the edges further enhance connection strength.
