Update V1.4 from October 6, 2025

This is the model with a narrow frame and without support.

Based on user feedback about strings breaking too quickly, I have further optimized the parameters.
Nevertheless, care should be taken when removing it from the print bed (see below).

Update V1.1.2 from October 6, 2025

This is the model with a wider frame and with support and PETG interface.

Based on user feedback about strings breaking too quickly, I have further optimized the parameters.
Nevertheless, care should be taken when removing it from the print bed (see below).

! Safety Notice !

Since there have been users of the LED tealight who have used a tealight with a real burning flame, and this poses a fire hazard, I would like to point out again that the design is only intended for LED tealights!

I designed the LED tealight holder for a tealight with a diameter of ~36-37mm. For the height to match the top edge, I set ~18mm for the base part of the LED tealight.

The print file is optimized for multi-material printing (AMS). The colors can be adjusted

For the wide model variant, I designed the support interface with PETG to make it easier to separate from the PLA and thus achieve a nicer surface.

At this point, it should be noted again that the strings are very delicate, especially when handling the model.

For the critical removal from the print bed, I have 2 recommendations:

  • Allow the print bed to cool sufficiently to avoid stress in the model during detachment.
(As a print bed, I use the "CyGrip Pro Glacier" from BIQU, with which I have had very good experiences, especially when detaching models)

  • DO NOT (!) bend the print bed in the printer to detach the model. I recommend pulling the print bed straight out of the printer and then detaching the model on a workbench.

  • I have had good experiences detaching the model by holding the model with one hand on the print bed and then bending the print bed at the sides in small steps (!) over a table edge. This prevents too much force from being applied to the model and the strings from breaking.

This print never ceases to amaze me. It’s always the first thing I show anyone interested in how a 3D printer functions. I would go as far as to say this design is an utter masterpiece. Thank you for sharing.

I haven't started 3D printing yet - but why does the print look so smooth - it almost looks like you can't see the individual layers

Hello, yes it was printed like that. It is a P1S. The good strings were on the left so closer to the fan. And it was printed with PETG

It is meant for an electric tealight, like all PLA models

if you don’t know that heat rises I don’t think you should even be messing around with a 3D printer…just sayin 🤷🏻‍♂️

It works now, unfortunately it is not so easy when Bambu Studio uses half German and half English, I must have taken over the wrong settings, sorry, it was my mistake. Otherwise a very nice design.

It appears you have not correctly applied the profile settings. The strings, for example, only work with the setting "Arachne"

Thank you for your response, my error may have been that this wasn't activated for me, I will try again, I just had to cancel the second print because it didn't work, I will adjust the review afterwards, thank you for the tip.
