Description

This hardware sorter is quick to use. For screws just slide it down the center wedge till it stops. Find the nearest line and test with the hardware attached.

There are holes for standard size nuts. And counterbored hold from the far side for standard Socket head Cap Screws. The screws should form their own threads in the printed part to hold the screw in place. The nuts should be a slight press fit to hold them in place. Depending on the nut tolerance, and the print tuning you might need to glue them down. The holes under the nut should be a clearance.

This is designed to print face down. That way it can take on the plate texture for the main visible surface. This also uses the minimum purge waist.

The print profile is set for a different material for the interface layer. And a 0 clearance to make the best print. I use PLA for the model and PETG for the interface layer. They come apart easily.

Because of the fine text it is designed to use a 0.2 nozzle. For a standard 0.4 nozzle the text is not as legible. But if you know what it is supposed to be you might be able to use it anyway.

If you don’t have an AMS, you might pause the print and change the filament.

Because of hardware and print tolerance you can’t tell the difference between Inch and Metric hardware with the wedge.

If you want to change the material for the right slot in your AMS. Set the overall object to have the text color. Then set the filament for object “HG2_374” to be the filament for the main body

You might want to print 2 of these. One for fine thread, and one for course thead.
