Boost Me (for free)
I'm just getting started with basic designs and would certainly appreciate a boost if you find what I'm putting out to be funny. I'm staying motivated just building Christmas decoration for myself but would be great to know others share the same humor! I hope to have dozens of fun and different designs out before the Holiday season for all to enjoy! Plus, I need more orange filament and I'm a few points short of the $40 Gift Certificate :)
Update #1: I added a new primary profile that removes the “bauble” shape and has a more free form. The thickness has also been doubled in this profile. The original profile is still available
If you're looking at this model you must be like me; someone that loves a funny Christmas movie. This ornament captures arguably the greatest line from any Christmas movie ever (well, maybe most quoted by an immature man-child like myself!)
My goal is to capture some of the best lines from all of my favorite Christmas movies in various formats leading up to the holidays. I couldn't think of a better one to start with and I plan to have a few variations of this all-time classic. Be on the lookout for plenty more from Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, Elf, A Christmas Story, Friday After Next, The Grinch, and others (maybe Diehard, it's a Christmas movie right??). This is my first variation of the first ornament I designed this year.
I used Bambu filament for this print as I was certain on how many layers would be needed to keep the colors vibrant while keeping layers to a minimum. I think this could look better by making a few changes to what I used (Noted below)
PLA Basic Red
PLA Basic Mistletoe Green
PLA Matte Mandarin Orange (I think Basic Orange would look way better for the hose but I ran out)
PLA Basic Black
PLA Basic Brown (could use black to reduce the number of colors, of course poo should be brown though)
PLA White Marble (I'd try a silk silver or maybe even white for a better look than what I printed)
