Moravian Star Kit Card

Add something a little extra festive this year when you send out your Christmas cards by including a snap-together kit card of a Moravian star ornament. Designed to be thin enough to easily fit in the envelope, but thick enough to be sturdy while breaking off and assembling. No glue required!

Four variations are included:

• -mc-blank : Merry Christmas
• -mc : Merry Christmas, from ours to yours
• -hh-blank : Happy Holidays
• -hh : Happy Holidays, from ours to yours
• -blank-blank: Empty for your own text

There is enough space in the “blank” versions to easily add your own custom text below the salutation using a tool like Tinkercard.

Print at 0.2mm layer height to ensure the best fit. Changing the resolution could affect the fit of the parts as the tolerances are precise: loose enough to allow easy assembly but also tight enough to stick together while hung.

Pause at layer 9 to put in a filament change to create contrasting colors for the text. Or you can easily use a marker to color the letters after the print.

With a bit of careful arranging as shown in the last photo you can print four models on the build plate of an Ender 3 style 235x235mm sized bed.
