Description
Scattering Flowers, the Classic of Mountains and Seas series is complete!!! This is the final wave of the Classic of Mountains and Seas series, a total of four models. There was originally one more installment, but I met a great person and we're going to collaborate on a super fun project, so I ended it early. Recently, I've been spending all my energy on this project. Also, this great person makes very detailed printer accessories, and that's how we met. @user_343533133 Kaka, those of you who have just bought a printer should follow this great person, they are super awesome!!!
The models released this time are the Nine-Lives Cat, Linghuan Red Sleeve, Crimson Kingfisher (mín), White Ye (yè). The usual rules apply: Jayo skin-tone PLA filament, PDD electroplated marker for coloring. You will need to add supports for printing, at least 0.16 layer height, 0.08 is better. You can eat it, haha.
Background:
- Morphological characteristics: The Kingfisher looks like a kingfisher, with a red beak. The Classic of Mountains and Seas describes many Kingfishers in Mount Fu Yu, they are “like a kingfisher with a red beak”.
- Special Abilities: The Kingfisher has the ability to resist fire, and it is said that keeping one at home can ward off fire. This is also mentioned in the Classic of Mountains and Seas, it mentions that the Kingfisher “can ward off fire”.
- Cultural Significance: The description of the Kingfisher in the Classic of Mountains and Seas reflects the ancients’ observations and imagination of nature, and their worship of mysterious forces. The image of the Kingfisher may have originated from the ancients’ observations of certain birds in real life, and after artistic processing and imagination, it formed the image of a divine bird with special abilities.
- Artistic Expression: During the Ming Dynasty, scholars and artists had their own understanding and expression of the image of the Kingfisher. For example, Jiang Yinghao and Wu Linfu, in the 1597 edition of the Complete Illustrations of the Classic of Mountains and Seas published by Jijintang, depicted the Kingfisher as a kingfisher-like bird, with a long beak, standing on a treetop in a dive pose.
