UPDATE - 2024-11-11
I have added a new profile that includes an additional plate/model… this is a version that will allow you to hold up to four spare iFixit tips
After using the stand for a while now I have found that more heat than I first thought is being transmitted to the clip of the cap… this has resulted in the clip button softening and the weight of the iron in the cap is distorting it enough that the cap is loose in the stand…
I would therefore recommend printing at least the clip button out of a more heat tolerant material such as ASA, ABS or ideally Nylon… I have added a filament profile for PA6-CF as this is my go to engineering material at the moment and so far is holding up ok

A simple stand for iFixit's soldering iron…. I don't have the battery station and just use a 100w power brick instead so needed a stand…
Fixing button requires an M3x12mm button head bolt to secure screwing direct into the base
30% infill to give a bit of weight…
I printed mine in Bambu Labs PLA-CF as I had this with the X1C when I first bought it and never used it… seemed right for this but have test printed in normal PLA too…
Shouldn't need to worry about the heat as thats all in the cap and the iron powers down once inserted anyway
