Summary

This pen is a 1:1 full size replica of the iconic .50 cal round. The cap seamlessly hides the pen, so it looks like a bullet until the cap is removed.

All you have to do to assemble the pen is to remove the tip/ink from a pen, such as a Bic pen, and then insert it into the tip of the printed bullet pen.

Pen Ink Options

You've got 3 options for the ink:

  1. Pilot G2 Print Profile

    1. Pilot G2 (Amazon Link)

    2. Schmidt Rollerball (Amazon Link)

  2. Bic Print Profile

    1. Bic Cristal (Amazon Link)

Filaments used

Assembly takes seconds

Pilot G2 Version

Simply insert the Pilot G2 ink, then screw on the tip.

Bic Version

Simply remove the ink from the tip of a Bic pen, then insert it into the 3D printed pen.

If using the Pilot G2 version – is your ink missing the cap?

If your ink is missing the little black plug/cap at the bottom (see image below), then you may find the ink to be a tiny bit loose in the 3D printed pen.  I have included a print profile on this model called “Optional Ink Cap for Pilot G2” that you can print and use if your ink cap is lost or missing.  This way your ink will fit nice and snug in the 3D printed pen.

Boost Me (for free)

If you enjoy my work and would like to help support my ability to share more (and even better) models in the future, please consider boosting or buying me a coffee at the link below.   Your support is what helps me have enough filament and supplies to do all the print testing required for my models to be high quality and easy to assemble.  It takes a mountain of test prints for each model. Thanks :-)

Here's a link to my Buy Me a Coffee page, thanks for the support!
