Description
I made this to be able to sit in the same room as my printer while it prints and not be poisoned by toxic fumes. It still is highly recommended to vent the room and make sure fresh air comes in.
Basically I made this with parts I had laying around. It consists of 2 x 80MM PC Case fans and a HEPA/carbon filter that I ordered at Amazon (link here). The 2 fans slide into the slots in the front and back, the filter slides in the middle. Together with a flexible tube and the exaust kit from Ideenschmiede (link here) this filters the air coming from the P1S. Put the covers on the top, use the hose adapters to clamp on a 100mm tube and secure the exhaust side of the filter to prevent someone from sticking their fingers into the spinning fan (yes, I did that too).
I power the fans using a cheap fan controller and a power adapter I also had left over from a project. A controller can be purchased at Amazon or elsewhere for under 7 Euros (like this one). The frame on the side of the filter holder is meant to slide in a fan controller. The power adapter is a standard 12v output. Those fans don't take a lot of power. A 12 volt 1 watt adapter should be plenty.
