The initial goal of this project was to crush some support waste for storage or disposal, designed without the use of metal fasteners, but encountered some insurmountable problems during the process:

1. Due to the insufficient rigidity of the blades, coupled with the need for a high torque to crush the supports (the model's gear ratio is approximately 1.56), the torque is insufficient to crush the support material. I used a drill with the torque set to 25N to attempt to crush 10mm thick ordinary supports, but the result was far from my ideal expectation. It is estimated that a torque of at least 70N is needed to easily crush the support material.

2. Attempts to shred paper: The material used in 3D printing is not sufficiently rigid, so the design of the blades could only be thickened to ensure that they would not break during operation. The thickened blades did not perform well because each blade was 13mm thick. The thickened blades could only achieve the effect of shredding paper by tearing the paper horizontally, resulting in tensile strength.

Due to material limitations, the current model can only crush some soft fruits, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and cooked potatoes. The shredding effect is average.

I have published the printed files with the assembly and 3D models in Solidworks 2022. If you have a better solution, please discuss it with me in the comments. Thank you very much.

If you want to assemble it yourself, I have published a PDF assembly guide in Chinese and English below.
