Description

A bit ago someone had posted on a Facebook page a picture of a mini Christmas village that they had printed, but did not share who the maker was. After searching for several hours to try to find it with no results, I came to the conclusion that if I wanted a mini village I would have to make one. So I began work on my own version. I eventually found out it was originally designed by PA1. I highly recommend checking out their version on Patreon, as it has a higher level of detail, and the buildings are more realistic.

The houses, covered bridge, and churches in this model are based off of vintage paperboard putz houses. My grandparents had several of them, and they were among some of my favorite decorations at their house.

I have included a print profile to add windows made from transparent filament, but I would recommend using overhead transparency sheets for color printers for a blue tint or for detailed stained glass. That is what I used for the models shown in the photos. Some plastic report covers come tinted in various colors so that could be another option.

The houses and windows are arranged to group items that go together to make each building. When printing, it is recommended to move items of the same color to a new plate together to avoid color changes. On the windows file the front facade of each building is included as a reference and does not need to be printed. 2 types of roof are included for each building, a plain one in grey and a snow covered one in white with fuzzy skin.

The trees were made with the Maker World Make My Vase app. Powered by MakerWorld-Make My Vase (https://makerworld.com/makerlab/makeMyVase)

I have a model of the Menominee North Pier Lighthouse that can go with this set, I have it and a larger version here:  https://makerworld.com/en/models/720294#profileId-651126

11/12/24 Configurations for A1 Mini uploaded. Bases are included in the house file for the A1.
