Info:

There are various box sizes available on the market. The ones I initially purchased been advertised as having a 12cm width with a lid, but in the end, it turned out to be 11.7cm (see pictures). The mounts I made have size of 11.6cm and keep up those boxes well (see pictures).

 

Recently, I bought a set of another 4-liter box that looked very similar, but these ones had a width of 10cm, which I hadn’t noticed initially. Unfortunately, this caused the filament spools to bend slightly inside, so I ended up returning them.

You will find multiple sizes of the mount - short, medium, long. The long mount avoids falling of from shelf if loaded with more items like moisture meter which will require more filement. Thank you for feedback @MrHappy4Life. More infos you can find in section "Mount Versions and Sizes" below.

Design & Compatibility:

Inspired by this model, the upgraded design supports up to 13 containers on a 1.60m wide standard shelf, making it easy to expand your storage and screw it directly to a wall or backboard of your choice. Each mount features rounded edges for added strength and durability, providing a sleek look and reliable performance for years to come.

Features:

• Enhanced Screw Compatibility

  The mount accommodates 5mm diameter screws, with an inner hole depth of 9mm, perfect for securely mounting on wooden wall boards of up to 19mm thickness. Screws of 25mm length are recommended for optimal support, and we’ve adjusted the hole positions for easy installation with a drill driver. (See pictures for reference.)

• Precision Hole Gauge

  Included is a handy hole gauge to precisely mark where to drill. Use small nails (1.2mm diameter recommended) to align holes for a perfect fit.

• Drill Bit Guide

  A plate is included to support a 3mm drill bit, guiding your drill up to a maximum depth of 16mm – ideal for securely mounting to wooden walls.

• Key Differences Between Versions:

  • Version 2 introduces pins & holes to optionally connect multiple mounts side by side.
  • Version 1 and Version 2 are compatible, but Version 1 lacks the new pins & holes.
  • The Medium mount exists only in Version 2.

    • Helps connect multiple mounts simultaneously when installing.
    • Prevents the mounts from bending downward when holding heavy loads in filament boxes.
    • Enhances overall shelf appearance by maintaining alignment.

    • Supports standing prints – Enables users to print the mount upright if preferred.
