Bench PSU Handle modification
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is a handle mod for the ATX Bench PSU case I designed here > https://makerworld.com/en/models/728274
Also available is a matching Accessory storage drawer here > https://makerworld.com/en/models/1908605
I didn't add a mount hole option for a handle originally as I didn't feel a handle was needed but having lived with the PSU for a while having a handle makes it easier to move about so designed this add-on handle for it…
Printing:
I have set the profile to 4 perimeters and 30% infill to give it all a bit strength and substance… I used eSun PLA+ HS as my go to “engineering” PLA material…
Assembly:
Assembly requires 2 x M4 nuts and 2 x M4x20 cap/button head bolts
Place the drilling guide on the top of the case… its marked front>> to face the front of the case but in reality it doesn't matter as the holes are centred rather than offset… the guide is designed to make it easy to line up and then just tape it down to hold in place.
Use a 3mm drill to pilot the holes then remove the guide.

The final hole size needs to be 8mm… I used a 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm then 8mm to prevent tearing the hole a new one :) but you could use a step drill or wing it like a mad lad if you prefer.
You should end up with something like this…

Fit M4 nuts into the two fixings and push them through the holes from the inside of the case…

They should be slightly proud of the outside of the case… this is to help with locating the handle

The design of this is to allow the bolts to be tightened securely without crushing the case.
Then just simply bolt the handle on and its all done.

Happy carrying :)
