Description

I wanted to try out different speeds, so I designed a holder that allows the motor to be changed quickly and easily.

 

All you have to do is glue in the two Inserts, starting with the Shaft Insert. It is sufficient if the Inserts are glued in using the notches that are distributed around the circumference.

Push your N20 motor into the printed Motor Holder and insert the assembly into the Housing Insert. You might need the rotate the Engine the get the alignment of the motor shaft right.

I ultimately decided to use a 30RPM motor with a rated voltage of 3V (My motor: Amazon) It is powered by 3 rechargable AA batteries.

 

For the cable routing you need to drill a hole in the Nozzle Cone. I drilled a 5mm hole at a height of about 35mm.

 

If you want to remove the Shaft Insert, you can use the holes in the Insert to shear it off and pull it out of the shaft.

 

Update 28.11.2024: I have added a thicker version of the Housing Insert on the second plate. This part is optional and was added due to a user request.
