Description

I did not like the velcro straps provided within the Kyosho Optima Mid re-release kit, as they do not secure properly battery packs : they may move lateraly, and when the weather is bad, they are getting muddy…

The solution I propose is to print parts relying on the same fixation point than original battery retainers. They rely on 4 M3x5.7 inserts I have from 3DJake shop (2 on each side) inserted using solder iron. The locks are securing the battery on both side with 2 countersunk screws M3x10 (you will need 4 of them).

I did include 4 versions of the battery holders (you just need to choose the plate you need in the 3MF file) :

  • Hard pack, 20mm
  • Hard pack 25mm
  • Shorty pack 25mm
  • Stick packs tamiya style

I also included two ESC supports that can be used to fix an ESC. I will used angled one as the my ESC had a button on top of it and I want it to be easily accessible (they should work with both standard chassis (with the lip) and carbon chassis.

Please note that parts are not symetrical : pay attention to the side marking (L for Left and R for Right part)
