Bambu Lab External Exhaust Duct
Disclaimer: This is my original model, designed using SolidWorks. Only the printing files are shared for this model.
Required additional items:
1. 20 cylindrical strong magnets, 10mm in diameter and 5mm in height
2. One 80mm diameter ventilation hose, purchase length as needed. For example, if you need 1.5m, you typically need to buy 2-2.5m, as the hose's elasticity and corners prevent it from fully extending.
Assembly Notes:
1. Pay attention to magnet polarity, PETG printing is recommended. No glue is needed, the magnets will snap in place.
2. The window screen end is magnetically attached, so there is no need to drill holes in the window screen, as shown below

3. This part in the figure below only needs two magnets inserted. Inserting four magnets will cause the window screen end to detach.

Question 1: Will the magnetic duct gaps leak exhaust gas?
Answer: The duct is relatively thick, internal airflow is slow, and wind pressure is low, resulting in almost no leakage.
Question 2: Is an external fan required?
Answer: The printer itself has an external exhaust fan, so no external fan is needed, making it convenient and easy to use.
Question 3: If the outdoor exhaust port is very close to the window, will the exhaust gas flow back with the wind?
Answer: If you are concerned about this issue, you can print an additional part as shown in the figure below, purchase an extra 80mm diameter exhaust duct, and four 10mm diameter, 5mm high cylindrical strong magnets. Connect it outside the window to vent the exhaust gas further away, but be sure to secure the outdoor exhaust duct, otherwise there is a risk of it falling off and hitting someone.
