Tangram – Pocket Edition
Tangram is an ancient Chinese puzzle game that is said to have originated over 1000 years ago. Legend has it that a wise monk once owned a beautiful, square tile. When it accidentally broke, he attempted to reassemble it. In doing so, he discovered that the seven fragments could form an infinite number of shapes and figures. This discovery gave rise to the Tangram game, which consists of precisely these seven geometric parts: two large triangles, one medium-sized triangle, two small triangles, one square, and one parallelogram. Since then, Tangram has gained popularity around the world, inspiring people of all ages to create new figures and patterns.

Objective of the game: The goal is to arrange the seven pieces so that they form a specific shape or figure. There are many different figures you can create – from the simple square to complex shapes such as animals, people, or objects.
Game Rules
- Preparation: Choose a figure or image as a template that you want to create. This could be a challenge from a template or a creative idea of your own.
- Using the pieces:
- All seven pieces must be used.
- The pieces may touch, but they cannot overlap.
- Creating figures:
- Arrange the pieces together to form the desired figure.
- It can be helpful to start with the larger triangles and then add the smaller pieces.
- Creativity and variation: Once a figure is created, you can try a new template or your own creation. With practice, you can create many shapes and even design your own patterns.
- Storage: When you are finished, place the pieces in the case or box to keep them ready for the next game.
