Mancala (also known as African Chess or Sowing Chess)

Mancala, also known as "grains to the storehouse", is a popular board game in Africa, with many similar versions existing in other parts of the world. It is a two-player game, each with six pits and a storehouse, each pit starting with five pieces (though the number can vary from four to seven, as long as both players agree, with all pits having an equal number). (While the pieces aren't differentiated by color, I use two colors for aesthetic purposes.)

This game challenges the strategic and tactical thinking of both players and involves intriguing mathematical concepts, making it ideal for gatherings and family games.

I have designed the board as a storage box, for convenient portability and outdoor play, perfect for autumn camping.

Game Play:

1. The first player picks up all the pieces from any of their pits and, moving counterclockwise, drops one piece in each pit, including the opponent's pits. A piece is also dropped into their own storehouse, but not into the opponent's storehouse.
2. If the last piece lands in the player's storehouse, they get an additional turn.
3. When the last piece lands in an empty pit belonging to the player, they can take all the pieces from the opposing pit and their own piece, placing them into their storehouse.
4. The first player to empty all the pieces from their pits takes all remaining pieces in the opponent's pits and adds them to their own storehouse, ending the game.
5. The player with the most pieces in their storehouse wins!

Printing and Assembly Instructions:

• The configuration files include both a standard board and a smaller board compatible with A1mini; please select as needed.
• Feel free to print in two colors or just one, using your preferred colors.
• For material efficiency, a 5% infill is used, with the hinge area reinforced using a 15% infill.
• Once both boards are printed, they can be easily snapped together via the hinge cutouts, completing the assembly.
• If you have 5*2 magnets (not mandatory), they will enhance the design. By using the provided magnet holes and four small magnets, the boards will precisely snap together.
• There are two options for the pieces: Go-style and gem shapes. You can print either.

• Alternatively, you can purchase hand-chain beads from 1688 for a more aesthetic look (for A1mini, purchase 8-10mm; for a standard board, 12mm is recommended for a better feel).
