Description

This semi-functioning press brake model is super fun to print and looks really cool when its done. I say “semi-functional” because it's honestly not perfect. The gear driver will get stuck depending on what layer thickness you print with, so I would recommend printing that part at a finer layer height. If it gets stuck and you have to sand it, be careful not to sand it so much, because the gear teeth will just slip due to the gear driver getting pushed back from too much slack with the sliders. Other than that possible issue, it works. If the gear teeth do slip, just assist the slider when you actuate the mechanism and it should work fine. The ram is suspended by a rubber band that loops around the tabs on the ram and the cylinders on the top of the base. That's the only non-printed component needed. The assembly is a bit complicated and it's hard to explain, but try to use the pictures as a reference and message me with any questions. It's totally worth printing, thanks for checking out my model!
