Update: The TPU gasket finally failed last week. (mid Jan 2026). So I got a good year's use out of about 30 cents worth of TPU :D

Ongoing saga of dealing with this toilet that came with the house. This is for an American Standard Champion toilet valve.

Nothing steams me more than paying like $10 or more for something I know only costs a few pennies to make. Like a cheap toilet flap.

Off-brand versions of these are like $7.00 or more. So, I disassembled the leaky valve, took calipers to the gasket and designed and printed my own. The original had inner ridges on both sides of the gasket, but after analyzing the part, they only seemed necessary on one side, which simplified things considerably.

Installed yesterday. So far, the toilet has been leak free!

Printed in Overture 95a TPU
