This dog bowl was designed to solve one major problem for me, my dog eats his food to darn fast! (Like its gone in 30 seconds). I tried a slow feeder off of amazon, but it was WAY to easy. I then searched on the web and printed the hardest one that I could find. It was still too easy. So I figured I had to take matters into my own hands and make the hardest bowl I could, while still be reasonable. (FYI, my dog is very smart so I needed something that would be challanging). So I made and printed this bowl and it is perfect. It takes him about 15 minutes now to eat all this food, and he gets every last bite. I also put some water in with his food, and I haven't gotten any leaks.
Note: the filament I used is PLA, which is food safe. THAT BEING SAID, if your dog eats the bowl, that is obviously bad, but eating ANY plasic bowl is bad. I know some people feel very strongly that one should not 3D print anything for pets, and I really think it is case dependent. My dog is not the type to tear/chew up a bowl, and he hasn't. My dog has been using this bowl for about 2-3 weeks, and it looks like new. If your dog is one that chews up stuff, then maybe this bowl isn't for you. Use your judgement and I am NOT responsible for whatever happens. Also, my dog is 30 pounds, so you can use that for reference.
