Summary
"あかべこ"は日本の福島に伝わる郷土玩具です。方言で赤い牛という意味です。
疫病を払った伝説の動物に因んでおり、魔除けの効果が期待されています。
本来赤べこは頭部が揺れる構造をしています。
Gen1ではネジで固定するケースにアレンジし、Gen2ではM3とM5のネジを使って実現しました。
一刻も早くCOVID-19が終息しますように。
"Akabeko" is a traditional toy from Fukushima, Japan. In the local dialect, it means "red cow."
It is based on a legendary animal believed to ward off epidemics and is considered to have protective powers.
Originally, Akabeko is designed with a movable head. In Gen1, we adapted it by securing it with screws, and in Gen2, we used M3 and M5 screws to achieve this design.
We hope for the swift end of COVID-19.
