Advent Calendar - Gridfinity Compatible

Bring joy to the holiday season with this beautiful Advent Calendar! Perfect for a loved one or just print it for yourself ;). It features 24 or 25 unique lids with numbers designed in a festive Christmas style. These lids are compatible with different size Gridfinity bins, making it easy to create your custom advent calendar. Simply print the lids included in this model and pair them with your existing Gridfinity bins, or print new bins to complete the set! Then the only thing left to do will be to fill it with small gifts 🎁

This is much more flexible calendar and allowing for differently sized and generally larger gifts compared to the other calendars I have seen. Largest bins will fit Bambu Lab “Model suplement kits” without any problem :)

On the last day of Christmas, once you’ve emptied the entire calendar, a final surprise awaits: your ultimate gift will be the calendar itself! Reuse the bins to organize your home items.

Printing Instructions

You’ll need six colors only: Red, Gold, Dark Blue, Light Beige, Mistletoe Green, and White. The design is optimized for multicolor printing, it is using 3 to 4 colors per plate. Plate one is the fastest (2 hours+).

Choose the print profile based on the number of days you want in you calendar. I prepared 24 and 25-days variants. P/X series printers require 4 plates, A1 mini profile is separate as it requires 5 plates.

Recommended Bin Sizes:
To complete the calendar, you’ll need 24 or 25 Gridfinity bins. I recommend bins with a height of 73mm. Bins shorter than 60mm may have limited capacity, making it difficult to fit anything larger than small candies or jewelry in the smallest 1x1 bins. You can also mix bins of varying heights to create a staggered look.

For a 24-day calendar, you’ll need:

For a 25-day calendar, you’ll need:

4 Gridfinity bins, size 2x2

2 Gridfinity bins, size 2x3

Other Tips:

Use tiny ribbons, twine or simply scotch tape to seal each bin after you put a gift inside.

A Gridfinity base is not recommended, as it can make accessing the middle bins difficult.
I printed the bins using the model linked below, with a height of 73.55mm and the "no tab" option.
