Description

V-Spooler motor holder, with controller USB-C PD

Refill 1kg spool under 6 min.

There's 2 print profile, choose the right one for your motor !

Easy to find parts (only 3 needed)

Cheap parts

Fit in the footprint of the original V-Spooler (no motor bump)

No modification of the V-Spooler needed, use the original holes.

The controller box has a clear part (PLA) to show the power light.

I suggest printing the small gear (motor gear) in PETG due to heat creap from the motor.

If you want to use this continually (more than 1 or 2 respool per hour), I suggest using 15V and not 20V.

(A little bit slower but generate less heat)

UPDATED: Added insert for screw on the small (motor) gear

Parts needed:

DC Motor Controller (5A) - https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006402560064.html

USB-C PD Trigger Module - https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006075952643.html

200 RPM DC Motor Ø25mm (25GA370) - https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/4000169355301.html

or

200 RPM DC Motor Ø20mm https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005007520524774.html

Instructions:

-Insert the motor in the mount and fix it with 2x 2.5mm screws

-Solder 2 wires to the motor

-Push the small gear into the motor (press fit)

-Insert the large gear into the V-Spooler square peg (check the orientation and the hole placement)

-The large gear can be screwed into the square peg with a M3 screw (Optional)

-Mount the motor on the base and use 2 M3 screws.

-Insert the 2 motor wires in the speed controller (M+ and M-)

-Set the USB Module to 20V (S1=off, S2=on, S3=on)

-Solder 2 short wires (+ and -) and insert them in the speed controller (V+ and V-)

-Insert the boards in the controller box, use short M3 screws for the back cover.

-Replace the front bar on the V-Spooler with the controller box (use the same screws)

-Fix the motor wire with a ty-rap on the mount (there's hole for that)

Note:

Compatible with the V-Spooler X if you print this part from the V-Spooler normal and install it on the X.

Also print the controller box for the V-Spooler X from the print profiles.
