Description

Sharing my original model of the mask of Simon “Ghost” Riley from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019. This was my COVID project in 2020, and I ended up learing how to use blender, as well as testing cosplay for the first time. It ended up being a big hit on Reddit when I first posted it.

The mask needs holes to be sewn to a balaclava. The easiest and sturdiest way to do this is to heat up a thick needle with a lighter, and then poke it through the mask from the front to the back. It melts the PLA, making it more durable in the process. Its better than having the holes included in the model file, which can eventually separate the layers.

I found it took the least supports and filaments to print the mask standing up. I've added tree supports here (less waste), but you can use whatever you fancy.

If you have any other questions or comments, please write it here. Good luck, and have fun!

We used 2 little nails on the inner side of the mask (one on each side). Then mask just pretty much sits over top and it holds it snug 💪

Hubby wanted a skull with fangs. so I printed the mask, made fangs out of clay and painted.

Where did you get that balaclava? I searched Amazon and cannot find one like that. They are all tight and I want a loose one.

Printed amazingly and fit my face really well. Came out very clean and with good quality. There's nothing wrong with the print personally just some minor issues with the model itself though not a huge deal at all. I found that (for me at least) the top corners of the skull as well as parts of the inner eye where your eyes would go are a bit pointy. Nothing a razor and some precision can't fix. I took the liberty of cleaning it up myself and adjusting it to fit me and now it's very comfortable and the vision while wearing it is plentiful.
