Initially, I planned a four-cornered palace lantern drone suitable for festive flights, but due to my design limitations, the result proved rather startling. Some likened it to the palanquin from the film "Ghost Bride," a far cry from my original intention, transforming it into a drone more fitting for Halloween. I subsequently redesigned it as a palanquin. While I haven't printed and test-flown this revised version, it should certainly fly. Those interested might consider constructing it for a Halloween flight.

This drone utilizes a 5-inch racing drone power system. Because the battery is positioned below, resulting in a low center of gravity, PID tuning is necessary for flight. Decreasing the D-value or increasing the P-value will improve stability. During my initial test flight (shown in Image 2), using a BF flight controller without expert mode, I minimized the D-value, achieving stable flight. Image 1 depicts the modified palanquin drone. I have not yet printed or test-flown this version; the extended body, coupled with the battery, lowers the center of gravity further, necessitating an even smaller D-value or a larger P-value. A cautious first test flight in an open, soft-surface area is recommended.

LED light strips can be added; the palanquin's top features dedicated slots for their placement. The curtains and windows can be adorned with spooky images—a project for more creatively inclined builders.

For reference, I employed TPU for the palanquin's top and body, and PETG for other parts. Material selection remains at your discretion.
