Description

Heavily inspired by the linked model, I started the design from scratch with the intent to optimize the filament usage while not compromising on robustness.

The slot in the middle can be used along with a standard cabinet hanger for your biker's jacket.

I have tested this hanger vs my own motorbike helmet, weighing around 1.5 kg (yes, it's not the most lightweight on the market), and it didn't have any problem, even with careless usage like dropping the helmet when you are in a hurry.

It uses very little filament, and my version is printed out of quite old PLA: using PETG or other materials, I'm sure it will give even greater longevity and robustness, especially in the long term.

The holes are designed for 6mm countersink screws, either for wood, drywall or concrete.

UPDATE

As promised, here is my update regarding the PLA print: it finally gave up and broke without any warning, as expected. The piece has been under heavy load (for months, it was holding one winter jacket and a summer one) for almost two full years: never exposed to sun or weather, just normal air humidity. As always stated, PETG or ABS are recommended, but I'm impressed by the resistance demonstrated by PLA nonetheless.
