Description

This is a picatinny / weaver mount to use a cheap 1$ shop laser pointer as a laser sight. It is adjustable on 2 axis just like an aftermarket red dot or sight. I could not find an example of 2-axis adjustable picatinny sight so I imagined one from scratch and I'm proud of the result. The holes are calculated for M3 screws except for the 2 long screws clamping on the picatinny rail which are 6-32. There are no modeled threads but all holes are the right size to tap threads where needed with a M3x0.5 tap. To have the switch functional, you will need to clean the threads on the part named "Main tube". It helps if you tap the threads of the switch too but it's not mandatory. These are M8x1.25 threads. The small spring inside is the same spring that Anet A8 uses on the 4 corners of the bed. 7mm diameter spring. You will need a spring to have the vertical axis work as it should. I'm sure many sort of springs will be compatible. I'm sure it's also possible to just tight the side screws at the right position and not have a working adjustment after it's at the right place... I was disciplined to keep the design no larger than approx 30mm but I find it quite too high on the vertical dimension. Still I'm proud of it and I find it cool. Let me know what you think!
