A gripper for the assembly and disassembly of LED lamps with a GU10 base
“Changing light bulbs WITHOUT a ladder”
UPDATE 24.01.2025
Revised print profile online. I have slightly adjusted and optimized the gripper. Version 7.1 is available
UPDATE 23.01.2025
The guide slider was slightly too tight. I have adjusted it. It should now fit the gripper without problems
- Remove supports from the gripper
- Hook the four gripper arms into the guide slider and slide them onto the gripper
- It may be necessary to slightly rework the holes of the inner part with a pointed object so that the filament fits better through the holes for fastening
- Place the arms in the designated guides
- Apply adhesive to the four designated sides (not too much!)
- Slide the retaining ring (with the version number facing backward) onto the gripper from the back and flush it. Ensure that the gripper arms are not glued together
- After the adhesive has dried, slide the inner part into the guide and secure it with some filament through the four openings on the slider. The gripper can optionally be equipped with a spring (internal)
The holes in the slider can be used for a string for additional tightening
A rubber band is attached to the rear area for additional security
Pressing against the LED lamp closes the gripper. The lamp can be rotated out of the socket by carefully turning it
For installation, insert the LED lamp into the gripper, insert it into the lamp socket, and carefully twist it. Once the lamp is locked, carefully retract the gripper. It will then open and release the lamp
The gripper fits stems with a diameter of 21.8mm
