Description

Stop longer fibers from being sucked into the fan and heater.

I was worried about cat hair and dust fibers sucked into the fan and heater element because of its low inlet placement, sucking in air from the surface it stands on. So I made a stand that elevates the intake and spreads it across a large surface area which lowers the airspeed to prevent fibers passing through the holes which also could be made small due to the large area without causing restriction to the airflow. On top of that it also first has to be sucked in under and then upwards with low airspeed which also adds to the filtration performance. Bulges on the inside to seal better since Polyphemus sides are sloped. It flexes enough for install / removal.

Glue together with CA / Superglue. Parts join together using male / female alignment ridges. Try to get the glue on the inside part of the connector because dried CA glue that's squeezed outside doesn't look pleasing, some of which can be seen in picture.

Hope you like it!

Also check out this magnet lid mod for the Polyphemus. Makes it more convenient to use.
