Description
Children often get carried away after school, frequently misplacing their school ID cards, making replacements a cumbersome process. To alleviate this, I created ten color copies of his card beforehand. Now, whenever he loses his card, we simply print a new card sleeve and insert the copy, ensuring a smooth return to school.
This card sleeve is compatible with most school ID cards, student IDs, employee badges, transit passes, access cards, and meal cards (most school and employee ID cards measure 54mm wide and 86mm high). Cards slightly exceeding these dimensions will also fit.
The card sleeve utilizes a push-pull rear cover design. While slightly stiff immediately after printing, a few pushes and pulls will resolve this.
The card slot features a locating protrusion, preventing the rear cover from sliding out unintentionally.
I printed this using standard PETG filament with a 0.2mm layer height configuration. Close-up photos showcase the print quality.
