The USB port on the right side of my SuMo Alpha has always been loose, and I even experienced two instances of pedal disconnection recently (although I'm not sure if it was a hardware or software issue; in any case, replugging it fixed the problem).

So I decided to 3D print a protector, inspired by cable savers. It uses the two M6 screw holes on the side of the SuMo base for mounting (if you're already using these holes, I can't help you).

Because the dimensions of USB-A connector packaging aren't standardized, I've designed the opening to be 8.8 x 15.8 mm, suitable for most USB connectors.

*USB connectors I've tested:

  • The USB-A port included with the SuMo P2000 pedal; 8.8 x 15.8 mm fits perfectly.
  • The SuMo 1-to-4 USB cambus splitter; 7.8 x 15.8 mm, slightly narrow, but generally secure.
  • The USB-A port on the SuMo DS-8X manual controller; 7.8 x 15.8 mm, slightly narrow, but generally secure.

I will upload a smaller 7.8 x 15.8 mm USB port version later.
