Description
Jogi's Desk Clamp for Desk Lamps, Magnifying Lamps, and More
This C-clamp was designed for my old desk lamp after the original clamp broke
This one is printed in PETG-HF (a material I highly recommend), but should also be printable in other materials
While 3D prints shouldn't be overtightened, this part holds exceptionally well
For printing, use 4 wall loops, 6 top and bottom layers, and at least 25% infill; honeycomb is quite stable
These values can be increased if desired
There are 6 print plates, only ONE is needed
The clamps differ only in the lamp hole size
My lamp has a 13mm diameter; other common sizes are 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm—measure your lamp and select the appropriate holder; you do NOT need the others
Slide the screw and pressure plate onto the plate of the selected holder, or print them separately (better, but slower)
The pressure plate consists of 2 parts that are printed IN PLACE, meaning they interlock but are not permanently joined
Neither brim nor support is needed; do not change the orientation of the parts
After printing, screw the screw through the holder, attach the pressure plate from the other side, attach the part to the tabletop, and tighten—do not overtighten
If it holds—insert the lamp—turn on the light
Suitable for tabletops up to 30mm thick
Update 30.4.2025: Alternative screw added: Narrow head
Print schraube_schmaler_kopf_geriffelt.step (in the individual files)
