Description

Mechanical detents for the Thrustmaster TWCS throttle. This remix puts the detents at the 25, 50, and 75% locations. I also cut a channel in the base to remove the extra friction that the original causes near the 0 and 100% spots.

These detent locations are particularly useful for playing Elite Dangerous, where 75% throttle is usually the center of the blue throttle zone (maximum maneuverability).

If you want to have less resistance and/or less “sticky” detents, print the “Less Resistance” profile too, which lowers the detent rail by 1mm into the build plate. This will reduce its height, thereby reducing movement-related friction.

Assembly

I recommend dry-fitting everything before gluing the parts together to make sure everything works smoothly.

The 3 bottom pieces (base, detents, and label) can be superglued together. I then used some double-sided tape to attach the assembly to the TWCS base. The flexible catch piece can be attached to the throttle handle with part of a Command Strip or similar adhesive.
