Haining Senior High School, Zhejiang Province 30th Anniversary commemorative figurine, from the school's sculpture.
During the class reunion, the original designer (junior: Qi) was contacted, a doctoral student at Tsinghua University Academy of Arts & Design.
The original 3D file was provided. Opening a mold for chrome plating was impossible to meet the reunion deadline, and the price for small-batch customization was exorbitant;
3D printing was used. After several rounds of adjustments, manual tree-like supports were applied, each taking about 4 hours, for alumni who may need this in the future.
Looking forward to using it again in 20 years!
The model's small stars were printed separately, and their backs were reinforced. Remember to trim the small cylinders during assembly.
