Description
Deng Xiaoping, original name Deng Xian Sheng, academic name Deng Xi Xian, alias Deng Bin. A native of Guang'an, Sichuan. Chairman of the Fifth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. A great Marxist, proletarian revolutionary, politician, military strategist, and diplomat; one of the principal leaders of the Communist Party of China, the People's Liberation Army, and the People's Republic of China; chief architect of China's socialist reform, opening up, and modernization; founder of Deng Xiaoping Theory.
