CUSTOMISABLE Router to Makita Rail connector
Print Profile(1)

Description
UPDATE: I reworked the connector part and now it's fully customisable. You can change the rod hole position and it's diameter as well as the size of the area containing the hole. Useful for owners of other router brands and models (DeWalt, Milwaukee, HiKoki…)
Simple connectors, that attach to the Makita Guide Rail on one side and to the Makita RT 0700* Router plunge adapter on the other side.
This allows you to route straight grooves using the Makita Guide Rail (probably also Festool, but haven't tried it). You can also use your router to drill holes along a straight line (like holes for shelf pins or MFT table style holes).
Notes
- Knobs are included in 3MF file.
- Use standard M5x20mm hex screws in the knob and M5 nuts in the connectors
- I used the 8mm rod that came with the plunge adapter. If you need different diameter, use the Customise button here on MakerWorld to change the dimensions to your needs.
The tolerances for the guide rail are really tight. If the jig hardly moves or not at all, try sanding the surface a bit. If that doesn't help, let me know and I'll post a version with loose tolerance.
