Anyone who uses the Bambu Lab AMS Feeder knows that the original cover can occasionally break for no apparent reason. To permanently solve this problem, I have developed a more stable and optimized cover. Functional, robust, and immediately fitting – this model ensures your feeder works smoothly again
Highlights of the more stable cover:
- Thoughtful Design: The additional indentation for the ball bearings improves stability and functionality
- Optimal Fit: Slight tolerance for easy and precise installation – no post-processing required
- Function Over Beauty: Even if the design is simple, it perfectly fulfills its purpose and provides a permanent solution
Print Details:
- Recommended Material: PLA NX2 from extrudr or comparable filaments
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Important Setting:
- Supports: Supports should be used for the holes and then removed
- Test Print: The file was successfully tested on a Bambu Lab A1 mini and fit without adjustments
Personal Experience:
During a defect, my AMS was not functioning correctly. Since my X1C was externally loaded, I quickly printed the cover on the A1 mini – with a perfect result. The feeder is now running stably again, and the problem is a thing of the past
I hope this model helps you with similar problems concerning the AMS Hub Extruder. Have fun printing and good luck with your projects! 😊
