Description
A charging mat that replaces the built in wireless charger. Uses an Apple MagSafe (gen 1) puck.
I was tired of the slow and unreliable charging from the built in wireless charging pad and I didn't like the alternatives out there, so I decided to make my own.
Required Hardware:
- Apple MagSafe Charging Puck (Gen 1) 1m
- https://www.bestbuy.com/site/apple-magsafe-iphone-charger-white/6341029.p?skuId=6341029
- The Gen 2 charging puck might work, but it is a slightly smaller and thinner puck.
- Thin USB C Adapter Cable
- https://a.co/d/7TD66nI
- You must buy the 3.3 foot cable. The longer cables weirdly have a shorter adapter.
- Cut the adapter off from the long USB cable and just use the adapter.
Filament:
- Base: PLA
- MagSafe and USB cover: TPU
