Description

This model is my design for a desktop power supply running off of a single Milwaukee 18V battery and DPS3003 power supply.

To follow the Milwaukee naming convention it's MR18 (18V) Power Supply 2. I think it's bigger than PS1 (which doesn't exist) but smaller than PS3 (which also doesn't exist…).

The outputs are 12V power socket (so whatever you want it to be) and a 5.5x2.1 pigtail socket. There'a also a ON/OFF toggle so you can leave the battery in safely.

The complete print is 8 elements, 204g of filament, and takes ~7 hours on P1x printer.

Hardware to complete the build:

  1. The power supply is DPS3003, like this one.
  2. 5.5x2.1 pigtail socket like this one (any 12mm socket will do).
    1. (optional) I go this coiled cable with it.
    2. (optional) I also got this set of different pigtail ends.
  3. A 12-24V cigaret power socket. I used this one but I believe all are the same (29mm hole).
    1. I got a Baseus 12V USB-C plug laying around. I liked it, because it sits flush with the socket.
  4. A 12mm 2- position toggle switch like this one.

For hardware, you will need 19 M3 nuts and M3x10 screws (any head). You will also need four M3x20 screws for the Battery Housing. I've linked some from Maker Supply below.

A complete Assembly Guide is available as a PDF download below.

The base is remixed model from the Wiseone, don't forget to boost them as wel!

Community caveat: I kept designing this model as my first “exclusive" model for Maker World. Now that I am posting this, I learnt I'd have to change the license to “Standard Digital File”, preventing anyone from remixing this model. And as much as I'd like the extra 25% points and some exposure, I will keep this (and following models) as open-to-remix license, since I believe in open source more. With that being said, don't forget to boost my model hehe :)

Happy printing!
