I’m a hobbyist who loves creating 3D models for everyone to use. If you like what you see, a Boost is greatly appreciated—it directly supports this hobby and helps me bring future projects to life.
Allows for the creation of customizable rectangular, circular and hex shaped name plates for 3d printers (or just about anything else).
The attached print profile has sample name plates, however the true magic comes from making your own. If you find this useful, please download the sample 3mf file, as customization downloads don't accrue any Maker World points. Please also comment with images of your creations.
Select the appropriate SCAD file during customization to choose between rectangular, circular or hex shape plates.
The plates allow for the following customizations.
- Dimensions
- SVG Image (which needs to be enabled, as the slider is disabled by default)
- Two pieces of text. (sample fonts are included in the model pictures)
- Border
- Colors
I recommend attaching with double sided tape.
Images used in my demo name plates are from www.svgrepo.com and www.vecteezy.com
Lastly, sometimes the colors produced by OpenSCAD do not match in the downloaded 3mf. This has something to do with the Maker World environment and I am unable to fix it. Select the appropriate filament mappings to ensure correct colors are printed.
Note:
Model may comprise small parts that could pose a choking hazard and is therefore not suitable for small children under the age of 3.
