Description

A simple 4 barrel whistle made to mimic a train! I wanted one that was one complete assembly rather than multiple whistles printed and strapped together so I made this. It has a cap that is optional but handy when making the whistle on the larger side. You can scale the parts smaller to make the whistle higher pitched or larger to make the tone lower. Note that if you make it too large you have to really blow to get the whistle to sound right so smaller kids might not be able to get it to work.

I used a silk PLA just so that it looks nice, but can be printed with any filament.

I added a second plate with a thicker cap in case your kids like to throw them across rooms like mine do. They tend to break a little easier.

EDIT 3/25/25

Added a profile for a TPU cap (only the thicker version). My 2 year old went through a number of the thicker caps by throwing the whistle, and I got fed up with making more so went to TPU which he has not managed to break! I used the TPU for AMS but should work with any TPU.
