Bread Slicer, Two Sizes, Adjustable w/ Storage Box
Print Profile(1)

Description
*** I have updated the lid included in this file as there were a few comments stating that it is hard to remove. I have reduced the height of the lid to save on filament and allow you to hold the bottom half. I added a cutout in the shape of a slice of bread to prevent the suction affect when removing the lid. I have also increased the length and width by 1%, making it fit a bit loose but so much easier to remove. If you would like to make it fit a bit tighter, you can scale the length and width back from 101% but do not go below 100%.
Info
Please print plate 3 and 4 twice, as you will need two each of the base, the bread stops and each of the slicer guides. As you can see in the first picture, one “stop” is used as an extended base to support your loaf of bread while you slice it. The base is adjustable from 4" to 6" wide depending on your bread pan. The Medium slice guide creates a slice of bread about ½" thick and the Thick slice guide will create a slice about 5/8" thick.
I printed the slicing guide in PETG-HF and the storage box was just printed in PLA.
No supports necessary.
If you would like to add your own lettering like I did, I added a text layer that was .48mm thick, using Agency FB at 125 font size and changed the type to negative.

Background
My wife got into making bread and as anyone who has baked bread knows, it can be a struggle to get nice even slices. Upon searching for something that could assist her with this, I came across a model that we kind of liked. We wanted some bread to be thicker slices though, so I adapted a model to do that for us. I fixed a couple issues with the original model that I didn't like and decided to create a storage box for it so it would be easier to keep it all together. (I added an initial to the top of the box I uploaded as I was printing it for a friend's wife)
Remixed
I fixed a couple edges that I did not like on the original guide, removed some confusing information, added a different thickness guide and added the storage box.
Obviously, don't cut too hard into the bread to prevent damage to the guide and just wash it off in the sink.
DO NOT WASH IN A DISHWASHER.
