Description
A stunning Sky Dragon figurine model—who says FDM can't print figurines? This FDM print is superb.
Note that hand-painting is required, though the areas needing paint are minimal and straightforward. It's recommended to use deep black for the belly and silver for the claws and teeth. The two additional sets of claws lack fixed positions; refer to the image for placement guidance during adhesion.
This model's most challenging aspect lies in the head. It's advisable to utilize a 0.2 nozzle to print the head separately, ensuring better preservation of fine details such as the teeth. The head is segmented into four parts to prevent support removal difficulties, thus creating a smoother surface. However, this may result in minor gaps during gluing; perfectionists might consider using putty to fill them.
Two base options are provided for your selection. Remember to adhere the two card bases together.
I opted for PETG filament; if using PLA, adjust the software settings accordingly. Slender, tall components such as the wings are prone to warping; using adhesive on the print bed is recommended.
