Description

Boost Me (for free)

Every Boost boosts my mood. :-) And it encourages me to keep designing.

Bins for sorting toy bricks (like LEG0) by size.

It's made to fit IKEA BILLY while using full plate of A1/P1/X1 printers.

I made 3 versions of this sorter:

250x250mm original, compatible with PLA:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/914354

250x250mm updated for PETG only with a stronger lock:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/923255

180x180mm, compatible with A1 mini:

Top lid:

Part of the model is a compliant locking mechanism that helps bins to stay together while sorting/shaking. Depending on your material it should be strong enough to hold together without brinks inside.

I tried 4 different PLA and run into an issue where one (white) was too brittle and the locks broke off, but the other three are working perfectly.

I also tried like 10 versions of the snap design and best way to improve is to use PETG and the PETG version (already published - see above). It's hard to find a design that won't snap with PLA, would be strong enough to be any practical and also soft enough so a kid can use it. But I'm open to and I welcome any tips you might have.

Check my sorted collections! :-)
